Ink Drawings - About
Ink drawings are windows into my imagination and mind and looks like a combination of a doodle and a Mind-Map that's been coloured in with pen:

When I first started out (back in 2005) I was doing black-and-white doodles in sketchbooks in my free time at work and when I would travel around:

One day someone was looking through my sketchbooks and suggested that I colour them in and see how they look...

So I went to my local art shop bought some pens and started to add some colour:

At first I just started colouring small areas in to see what the colours looked like and to experiment with a few ideas and styles.

Then after a while I got to the point where I could do a whole piece in colour:

When I first started out my original drawings were on A5 paper (which was about the same size as the notebooks I was using for my doodles).

After a while I started to get more confident and began working on larger pieces on A4 paper which had more interweaving ideas and shapes in them:

Once I'd got the hang of A4 I then moved up to A3 paper for pieces that had even more layers:

Finally I moved up to the largest size of ink drawings I do which is A2:
